AI Briefings & Analytics Chat
Nightly executive briefs, on-demand summaries, and follow-up chat grounded in your sales and operations data.
GreenSails turns your operational data into plain-language AI briefings: nightly executive summaries per location, on-demand reports you can generate anytime, and a chat experience where you can ask follow-up questions about what the numbers mean.
Location briefings depend on the location's timezone and closing hour being
set correctly on its location profile. Interactive AI
features require the analytics:view permission for the relevant location(s).
Nightly executive briefs
Every night, GreenSails reads the day's complete operational footprint for each location and writes a plain-language executive briefing: the kind of summary a regional manager would compile by hand, generated automatically while you sleep.
Each location has a configured Closing Hour Window. When the location's local clock crosses that boundary, the platform finalizes the day's records, compiles orders, revenue, fulfillment mix, payment mix, and peak windows, then writes the summary into the location's back-office report.
Open the brief from the location's back-office dashboard or the AI Brief tab in Analytics. Each briefing is structured around:
- Sales volume anomalies: Sudden performance shifts or unusual revenue trends versus your historical baseline.
- Peak volume efficiency: The specific rush hours where transaction throughput concentrated.
- Operational trends: Clean, bulleted conclusions to help you audit staffing, prep levels, and fulfillment channels without reading spreadsheets.
Read the brief alongside the interactive dashboards: the brief tells you what changed and why it matters, while the charts let you drill into the exact window it references.
AI Brief wizard
The AI Brief wizard in Analytics lets managers generate a fresh brief on demand, without waiting for the nightly run.
- Choose a location, or select your full portfolio if you manage every site.
- Pick a brief type, daily executive brief, weekly summary, menu engineering report, or anomaly digest.
- Review the answer as it is written, then continue in chat if you want to dig deeper.
To keep costs predictable and responses reliable, each organization can generate one manual brief per type and scope per hour (for example, one daily brief for a single location, or one portfolio-wide weekly summary).
Ask AI
Use Ask AI from Analytics (or the investigation step in the wizard) to ask your own questions in plain language. You can also launch Ask AI instantly from anywhere using the command palette (⌘K → "Ask AI"):
- "Why did sales drop?"
- "What changed this week?"
- "Why was yesterday slow?"
- "Compare my locations"
Suggested questions analyze roughly the last seven days of data for the location you select. When comparing locations, GreenSails looks across your portfolio.
Your custom questions are private to you. Teammates with analytics access still see shared nightly briefs and scheduled reports, but not each other's ad-hoc questions.
Each organization can run up to 10 Ask AI questions and chat follow-ups combined per hour. If you hit the limit, the app will tell you when you can try again.
Analytics chat
After a brief or investigation finishes, choose Continue in chat to keep the conversation going. Ask follow-up questions in context, for example, "Which day drove the drop?" or "How does lunch compare to dinner?"
Your chat history appears in the sidebar on the Analytics chat page. Open a past conversation to review what you asked and pick up where you left off.
Because nightly briefs trigger on the location's local closing hour, an incorrect timezone or closing time will generate the brief at the wrong moment , or split a day's data awkwardly. Verify both on the location profile.
