Owner Getting Started
Open your venue from first location through a live register shift, using Setup wizards where they help.
This checklist walks a store owner from an empty organization to a working floor. Start with the Setup hub wizards when you can. They bundle the first steps, then dig into the linked pages for detail.
Before you begin
- Open Setup for guided wizards (location & catalog, POS terminal, branding, menu board, employee & operator). See Setup wizards.
- Under Settings → Organization → Modules, confirm the areas you need are turned on (Sell, Workforce, Catalog, Inventory, Menu boards, Money).
Open your venue
Add your locations (and seed the catalog)
Prefer the Location & catalog wizard under Setup, or create venues under Locations and products under Items. Locations anchor terminals, shifts, stock, and workforce assignment. Attach modifiers where guests customize orders, and set stock counts per location when you track inventory on the floor.
Create service accounts and register terminals
Use the POS terminal wizard, or provision service accounts and add Base and Satellite devices under Terminals. Bases hold drawers and shifts; Satellites take floor orders.
Set branding and defaults
Run Organization branding in Setup, or open Settings → Organization for profile, logo, and invoice look.
Configure tax & compliance
Under Money → Tax & compliance (or Settings → Organization → Tax & compliance), pick your country adapter. Jamaica is fully wired today (GCT, service charge, TCC). Set whether shelf prices are tax-inclusive. See Tax & compliance.
Add operators (and optional workforce staff)
Create PIN operators on Operators. On Captain plans and above, the Employee & operator wizard can create a roster employee linked to a POS operator in one flow. See Employees.
Open a financial shift
On a Base terminal, open a shift with the starting cash float. See Hub & Shifts and Financial Shifts.
Take your first orders
Ring sales on Base or Satellite, then settle on a Base with an open shift. Follow Taking Orders and Recall Orders.
Optional: Kitchen Display
Route tickets to cook-line screens with Kitchen Display setup and routing.
Optional: Menu boards
Use the Menu board wizard or schedule digital menus under Menu Boards.
